let's make it more interesting

Lina thought she is going to make things a bit more tricky. This morning her central line (port) which has been acting up a bit lately fully stopped working. Down we went for a chest x-ray to check if it had migrated out of the vein. Lina was strapped down with her hands over her head and we both sang "hands up baby hands up" (ham-ham baby ham-ham). No tears from my brave little girl.
We were lucky and it looks like the line is still in place. The doctors now think she might have a blood clot in both sides of her line so we are using some "liquid plumbing" for central lines. We will see if it was the cause in about an hour.
Lina still needs some line repair for some weak spots on her line but we were told it is an easy fix for the line team.
We need the line to work in order to do our last day of chemo for this round.

Other than that she is doing great despite being up half of the night, a new cold and one throw-up session this morning. She is eating a little bit but only Mary's crackers and seaweed pieces. We do not know yet how her counts are today as we are not able to draw blood from the line. Hopefully she has a few neutrophiles left.
I will keep you posted on our line issues.
