I Am No Different
I am no different from the thousands of others in the world tonight, sitting alone in front of a computer screen, asking for your help, your support, your compassion.
I am no different from the thousands of others, who know someone suffering from some disease, or unfortunate incident that could use your hand this holiday season.
I am no different from the thousands of others who know that the holiday season might be their best chance to get your support.
I am no different from the thousands of others who know deep in their hearts that the holiday season will end on schedule but the suffering knows no timetable to follow.
I am no different from the thousands of others who realize that although they think they know what their loved ones are suffering through, they really don't
I am no different from the thousands of others who realize, that because it is not them suffering, they just can't.
I am no different from the thousands of others who selfishly think their friends could do more, should do more.
I am no different from the thousands of others who dream of a better day for their loved ones.
I am no different from the thousands of others who know one day the suffering will end and the happiness will win.
I am no different from the thousands of others who have come up with a catch phrase or a product to sell their cause.
I am no different from the thousands of others who strive to raise one more dollar, get one more word of encouragement before going to bed for the night.
I am no different from the thousands of others who will go to sleep tonight hoping to wake up to a large order or donation to help bolster the Trust.
I am no different from the thousands of others who will ask you for $10, that's it, that's all, a simple $10 act of support.
I am no different from the thousands of others who champion their cause.
I am no different from the thousands of others, for I don't have the strength to be different.
I am no different from the thousands of others, or am I?
I am Lina's Uncle and that makes me different.
I am championing Lina's cause and that makes me different.
I, not another, am asking you for the $10 display of support and that makes me different
I will go to bed tonight knowing, not hoping that their will be orders in the morning to benefit the Trust and that makes me different.
I'm not asking anyone but you, the one reading this blog, the one who just smiled because they pictured me momentarily sitting across from them, forgetting they're actually alone in front of their screen and that makes me different.
If you are reading this, chances are you know who is writing this, and you care enough to read it, that Makes me your friend.
And That makes me different.
Support Lina. Make a difference.
